DSCG registration in France: How to register?

You want to register for the DSCG (Diplôme Supérieur de Comptabilité et Gestion)? In order not to miss any important information and to register in time, you will know all the steps to register for the DSCG !

The national registration procedure for the DSCG requires compliance with specific procedures: here they are!

Conditions of registration for the DSCG in France

Are you going to take the DSCG (Diplôme Supérieur de Comptabilité et Gestion) exam? To be able to register for the DSCG course, you must :

  • either hold a DCG (Diploma of Accounting and Management);
  • or have a DECF (Diploma of Accounting and Financial Studies);
  • or hold a French or European Master’s degree related to accounting or management.

If you meet these criteria, it is already a good point. You should know that each year there are specific dates to register, especially for a DSCG preparation in Paris. In 2022, registration for the DSCG is between July 6 and August 31. It takes place in two phases with an online pre-registration and the submission of the complete file from the Candidate CYCLADES portal. Discover these 2 steps in detail!

Online pre-registration for the DSCG

Regardless of your place of residence, registration must be done exclusively on the internet via the CYCLADES candidate portal. As a candidate, you will have to create an account by selecting your academy and by filling in the form with all the requested information (name, first name, date of birth, postal address, email address which will be your account identifier and a password of at least 8 characters). Once the account is created, you will receive a confirmation email with an activation link.

You will then have 48 hours to validate the account, otherwise the account will be deleted. Once the account has been validated via the link in the email, you will be able to access your candidate area. What’s next?

The registration file for the DSCG

In the confirmation email of the account created, the list of supporting documents to be provided will also be present. The documents to be added to your CYCLADES candidate space are the following:

  • the administrative documents of the completed dedicated space;
  • a photocopy of your identity card;
  • a passport photo;
  • a copy of the diploma authorizing you to take the DSCG;
  • a check of €7 for postage;
  • and a check for €30 multiplied by the number of tests taken (except for scholarship holders).

Good to know: Registration fees for the DSCG exam are fixed (except for scholarship students and wards of the Nation for whom the exam is free). With eight tests (including one optional test), the total registration fee is €210 for the seven compulsory tests, and €240 if you also take the optional foreign language test.

Invitation to the National Examination

When all the supporting documents are provided, you will receive an invitation by mail between 2 and 3 weeks before the beginning of the written tests.

The DSCG exams are generally held at the end of October each year. Candidates registered for the oral exams (UE 6: language test – English and UE 7: dissertation) can be called as early as the week following the written exams.

Finally, the results of the DSCG are published on the Internet around mid-December, after the national jury has held its deliberations. Please note that it is important to keep your convocation for the results, as the registration number is essential to access your grades. So, are you ready to register for the DSCG?
